This is one my favorite recipes that my mom makes so here you go everyone and quick and easy way to make it for your family at home.
6 Boneless Chicken Breast
4 Small cans of Hominy
25 California Chily Pods
1-3 Arbol Chili Pods
1/4 tsp Whole cumin
4 Garlic Cloves
6 tbsp of Salt
1/2tsp Dried oregano
To start place all chilly pods in a large bowl and soak in water for at least 30 minutes.
In a 10 quart pot add 7 quarts of water. Add Salt, Chicken, and half a onion to the water.
Cook until Chicken is fully cooked
In a Blender combine soaked chillies, garlic and cumin until almost a purree.
Once Chicken is ready in a thin mesh colander , pour blended chili into the pot of pozole
Continue to leave the chill in the pot for about 4 minutes to extract all the flavor.
Open hominy cans and wash hominy with water.
Pour Hominy in pot and continue to cook for another 10 minutes.
Chop some cabbage, onion and limes so u can use as a topping for your pozole.
Serve in a Large bolw with all the fixings and enjoy this easy to make recipe.
