Master this tasty ground meat, and you’ll be able to prepare great Mexican food whenever you have the craving. Simple to make, and freezes well.
It is great in tacos, burritos, enchiladas, tostadas, nachos and quesadillas. Add it to Mexican Migas to make a delicious Mexican Scramble. At my place we have used it to top Mexican Pizzas, Mexican omelettes and even Mexican pasta.
It won’t take much imagination and cooking skills to find heaps of other uses for this recipe.
In the video I use 1 kg. of ground meat/mince, but it is better to make 2 or 3 kg, because it great to freeze, and can be ready when you need it.
I pack in it 200 – 500g freezer bags.
I defrost in the fridge overnight, but If someone drops in unexpectedly; I defrost in the microwave while I am grating the cheese.

At Grandpa Can Cook we share recipes and ideas to encourage people to prepare their own meals. We want to lessen the use of processed foods. Let’s face it, the fewer people and machines that touch your food the better it is.
A meal prepared by a family member or friend using basic ingredients has to be better than something prepared by strangers hoping for a profit.
